U.S. Congressman Mike Flood has announced that his office will hold two Military Service Academy Day events in partnership with Nebraska's federal delegation. These events will take place over the next two months in Bellevue and Norfolk.

The Bellevue event is scheduled for April 5, 2025, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm CT, at Bellevue University's John B. Muller Administration Building located at 812 Bruin Blvd, Bellevue, NE 68005. The Norfolk event will occur on May 3, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm CT at the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, 609 W. Norfolk Ave, Norfolk, NE 68701.

These events aim to inform high school students about the process of becoming a commissioned officer through one of the five U.S. service academies, namely, the U.S. Military Academy, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, the Coast Guard Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy.

"Nebraskans are stepping up to serve as the next generation of leaders in our country’s Armed Forces," Congressman Flood said. "This is a great opportunity to learn more about what it means to attend one of these five Military Service Academies. Any interested applicants are encouraged to attend."

Most academy applicants must receive a nomination from a Member of Congress, with the exception of the Coast Guard Academy.

For further questions, Kim Kwapnioski can be contacted at 202-834-2780. Alternatively, individuals unable to attend can schedule an appointment with the Lincoln District Office at 402-438-1598.
