On July 14, 2025, Flood highlighted recent footage released by federal authorities concerning an immigration operation in Omaha. He stated: "NEW: Footage from the U.S. Attorney’s Office reveals the high level of professionalism by ICE during the Omaha immigration operation."

Later that day, Flood referenced a joint opinion piece co-authored with Rep. Adrian Smith and Rep. Don Bacon. In his post dated July 14, 2025, he wrote: "JOINT OP-ED: @RepAdrianSmith, @RepDonBacon, and I write about why we supported The One Big, Beautiful Bill in @OWHnews." He included a link to their full op-ed published by OWH News.

In another update on July 14, 2025, Flood discussed meetings with agricultural leaders in Norfolk to review outcomes from House GOP’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.” He stated: "Met with ag leaders in Norfolk on wins in @HouseGOP's One Big Beautiful Bill:

Let's keep growing our ag economy!"

Flood replaced Jeff Fortenberry as representative for Nebraska’s 1st district following a special election in 2022.
