Former Waverly High School standout Val Gerlach played on Friday, May 16 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division III Softball Championship

On Friday, May 16, former Waverly High School standout Val Gerlach’s current collegiate team the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves lost 0-1 against the Bethany Lutheran Vikings in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Inspiration Field at 4 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Bethany Lutheran Vikings in the tournament.

The Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves’ next game will take place on Friday, May 16 at 4 p.m. at Inspiration Field.
