U.S. Congressman Mike Flood has announced that the upcoming Flyover Fintech conference will include a panel on "Web 3.0 & DeFi." The event, set to take place in Lincoln on October 21, 2024, will feature experts from Multicoin Capital and Galaxy Ventures.
"The momentum behind Web 3.0 continues to grow as more people look to the next generation of internet," said Congressman Flood. "This panel features trailblazers from Multicoin and Galaxy Ventures pioneering decentralized web technologies and decentralized finance."
The panelists include Jay Stolkin, Deputy General Counsel at Multicoin Capital, and Neil Bhuta, an Investor at Galaxy Ventures. Stolkin leads financing transactions and advises on corporate and regulatory matters at Multicoin Capital. Previously, he was General Counsel at Framework Ventures and worked in private practice at Paul Hastings. Bhuta focuses on investments in crypto-enabled payments, software, blockchain infrastructure, and DeFi applications at Galaxy Ventures. His prior experience includes working at DCG and Evercore.
Flyover Fintech conferences are known for featuring a diverse range of speakers from the fintech industry and government officials. This year's event will also include House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry, Congressman Andy Barr, and Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance Director Kelly Lammers.
Congressman Flood has previously announced another panel titled "Digital Asset ETFs," which will include representatives from Bitwise Asset Management, Blackrock, Fidelity Investments, and Grayscale Investments.
