U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced that the upcoming Flyover Fintech Conference will feature a panel on "AI & Housing." The event, scheduled for October 21, 2024, in Lincoln, Nebraska, will include industry leaders from Bilt Rewards, Rocket Mortgage, Zest AI, and Zillow.

"Artificial intelligence is changing the world, including the future of home ownership and renting," said Congressman Flood. "This panel showcases a range of industry leaders who are using AI to break down barriers and make the dream of homeownership possible for more Americans. I’m looking forward to the conversation and I encourage anyone interested in joining to get registered for Flyover Fintech today."

Hilary Halpern, Head of Public Policy at Rocket Mortgage, will participate in the panel. Halpern is responsible for developing public policy positions and messaging at both federal and state levels across all Rocket Companies. She previously worked with the Mindset Group, Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and began her career with Sen. John McCain (R-AZ).

Jonathan Lawless, Head of Homeownership at Bilt Rewards—the first rewards program allowing renters to earn points on rent towards homeownership—will also join the discussion. Lawless focuses on developing solutions to support renters transitioning into homeowners. He formerly held senior executive roles at Fannie Mae.

Mike de Vere, CEO of Zest AI—a company leveraging AI in consumer credit underwriting—will be another panelist. De Vere has over 25 years of experience amplifying consumer voices through organizations like Nielsen, Harris Interactive, and JD Power.

Zillow's participant for the panel will be announced later.

The Flyover Fintech conferences feature various speakers from members of the House Financial Services Committee to leading voices in fintech.

Congressman Flood has previously announced that House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry, Congressman Andy Barr, and Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance Director Kelly Lammers will also address this year’s conference. Additional speakers and panelists will be announced in the coming weeks.
