LINCOLN, NEBRASKA — Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement today in response to President Joe Biden's proposal to impose new rules on the American court system.
"Separation of powers is a cornerstone of our constitutional republic. Democrats have disliked a number of decisions handed down by the Supreme Court in recent years. President Biden’s proposal seeks to use the power of the executive and legislative branches against the courts in a vindictive play to advance a liberal agenda. In America, we respect judges and juries and the decisions they make even when we don’t like them. I’m glad that Speaker Johnson has announced that the President’s plan is dead on arrival. House Republicans will never stop defending the independence of America’s judicial system."
