U.S. Congressman Mike Flood, along with U.S. Congressman Don Bacon and U.S. Senators Deb Fischer and Pete Ricketts, initiated the construction of a new facility for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s (UNL) Innovation Campus this week in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The establishment of the new ARS facility was made feasible by the minibus appropriations bill that allocated $25 million for the project.

Rep. Flood's full remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony can be viewed here at the 23:17 mark. His appropriations request for the ARS facility can also be read here.
