LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – On July 14, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced Flyover Fintech will feature a panel on "The Current Regulatory Environment: How a Lack of Clarity Affects Digital Asset Retail Investing.” The panel, featuring industry leaders from Coinbase, Crypto.com, Kraken, and Robinhood, will happen at the Congressman’s Flyover Fintech Conference in Lincoln on August 2, 2023.
“Establishing a regulatory framework for cryptocurrency that promotes private sector innovation has been a hot topic in Washington recently,” said Congressman Flood. “This panel features a variety of broker dealers and exchanges who engage on the retail side of digital asset investing. I encourage anyone who is interested in joining the conversation to reserve their spot and register for Flyover Fintech.”
Dan Nuñez Cohen is Vice President, Policy and Regulatory Affairs for Crypto.com. In that role, he advises numerous teams on ensuring products and services' compliance with applicable national, provincial, and local laws in the United States and Canada. He also helps lead applications for new financial services licenses and registrations and implements the company's public policy initiative and outreach in North America.
Lucas Moskowitz is VP, Deputy General Counsel at Robinhood Markets, Inc. where he oversees litigation and government and regulatory affairs. He previously held several roles with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, including as the agency’s Chief of Staff under Chairman Jay Clayton and as a senior counsel in the Division of Enforcement.
Dhawal Sharma is a Senior Director in Coinbase's Institutional Legal team. He has been at Coinbase for three years as a lead counsel for commercial, product and regulatory legal matters. Prior to Coinbase, Dhawal was the General Counsel of Tagomi Trading, an institutional cryptocurrency brokerage that was founded in 2018 and acquired by Coinbase in 2020.
Jonathan Jachym is the Deputy General Counsel & Global Head of Policy at Kraken, one of the oldest and largest digital asset businesses. He is responsible for developing policy positions, advocacy strategies, and regulatory and political engagement across Kraken’s key markets around the world.
