WASHINGTON, D.C. – On June 13, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood released a statement following a vote on H.R. 1615 also known as the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act.
“As places like Berkley, California and the State of New York have banned gas stoves, federal agencies have signaled their support for such moves. These decisions shouldn’t be made by government bureaucrats pushed by Green New Deal activists – American consumers should have the freedom to choose what kind of appliance they want to use. The Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act safeguards this choice by helping stop federal overreach and ensuring states have a voice. It’s just common sense.”
