Earlier this spring Peru State cross country head coach James Cole signed Carrin Gramke for the upcoming 2022 cross country season. Gramke is from Upland, Nebraska and attended Minden High School.
Gramke is the daughter of Troy and Dotti Gramke. Gramke plans to study Music and minor in Psychology while attending Peru State College. She has a multitude of accolades throughout her high school career.
Gramke was the most improved cross country runner during the 2019 season for her high school, in 2020 her women's cross country team was the Southwest Conference Champions. She is also gifted musically as she ranked Superior at District Music Competition for Solos all four years of high school 2019-2022. Gramke and her fellow musicians ranked Superior for Show Choir at District Music Competition in 2022 and ranked Superior for Madrigal Choir at District Music Competition in 2022. Gramke was also a State Champion Recurve Archery in 2021.
Here's what head coach James Cole had to say about Gramke…
"Carrin has been involved at her high school and in her community and plans on joining Peru's Music Performance program. Carrin has competed in both cross country and track for Minden High School and is a good addition for our team," said Cole.
Cole continued…
"I've been able to meet with Carrin and her parents a couple times and know Carrin is a humble, hard-working student athlete. She will fit in well with our returning runners and new recruits and be someone on the team who is pushing herself to improve. I look forward to working with her this fall and seeing her hard work pay off in meets."
Peru State's 2022 cross country season will begin this fall.
