On Monday and Tuesday of this past week the Peru State women's golf team was back on the links for the start of the spring season. They were in Olathe, Kansas for the Baker Spring Invitational where they finished in seventh shooting +278.
The top three schools in the Invitational were William Woods University who finished in first shooting +82, the host school Baker University finished in second shooting +116 and Evangel University finished in third shooting +122.
Below is a breakdown of how the individual women placed and shot for the Bobcats.
Taylor Finke (Battle Creek) finished tied for 25th place shooting 96 in round one and 89 in round two shooting +41.
Brooklyn Brenneis (Tekamah) finished in 38th place shooting 100 in round one and 111 in round two shooting +67.
Jayden Duff (Pittsburg, Kan.) finished in 39th place shooting 110 in round one and 106 in round two shooting +72.
Carly Johnson (Schuyler) and Olivia McAsey (Holton, Kan.) finished tied in 42nd place. Johnson shot 112 in round one and 117 in round two shooting +85. McAsey shot 116 in round one and shot 113 in round two shooting +85.
Laura Wells (Girard, Kan.) finished in 45th place shooting 120 in round one and 123 in round two shooting +99.
The women's golf team will be back on the course this Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26 in Maryville, Missouri at the Graceland Invite.
