Rep. Adrian Smith, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 3rd district since 2007, posted a series of updates on social media regarding agricultural policy, trade agreements, and the passing of former Vice President Richard Cheney.

On November 3, 2025, Smith wrote about his recent engagement with the Nebraska Soybean Association: "I had a great call with @NeSoybean_Assoc this morning to discuss the importance of building reliable trade relationships, finishing the Farm Bill, and finalizing a strong RFS Set 2. As this year’s soybean harvest nears completion, I am continuing to work with the administration" (posted November 3, 2025).

Later that day, Smith commented on recent actions by the Trump administration concerning trade: "While recent announcements by the Trump administration are constructive steps forward, meaningful progress on trade – whether bilateral agreements or renewal of programs like GSP and AGOA – requires legislation to be permanent and truly impactful. My weekly column on trade>>>" (posted November 3, 2025).

On November 4, Smith addressed the death of former Vice President Richard Cheney: "My statement on the passing of Vice President Richard Cheney. https://t.co/cCm4JaNWh7" (posted November 4, 2025).

Smith has represented Nebraska’s largely rural 3rd congressional district since succeeding Tom Osborne in Congress in 2007. Before his tenure in Washington D.C., he served in the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 to 2007. Born in Scottsbluff in 1970 and currently residing in Gering at age 52, Smith is an alumnus of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
