Rep. Adrian Smith, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 3rd district since 2007, shared updates on local events and manufacturing achievements in a series of posts on September 18, 2025.

In his first post of the day, Smith thanked participants of a recurring event on Capitol Hill: "Thanks to those who join us at the #NebraskaBreakfast, Wednesday mornings on Capitol Hill are Nebraska Nice." (September 18, 2025).

Later that evening, he recognized two Nebraska companies for their success in a statewide competition: "Congratulations to @Case_IH of Grand Island and @brownsheepco of Scottsbluff for reaching the final four of the “Coolest Thing Made in Nebraska” competition. #NE03 excels in manufacturing!" (September 18, 2025).

In his final post of the day, Smith highlighted innovation in agriculture after meeting with an industry group: "I sat down with @FeedFolks to discuss issues impacting the livestock and pet food manufacturing industry. Thanks in part to innovation in nutrition, dairy cows require 40% less feed to produce 100 pounds of milk compared with 40 years ago." (September 18, 2025).

Smith has represented Nebraska’s 3rd District since succeeding Tom Osborne in Congress. Before joining Congress, he served in the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 to 2007. Born in Scottsbluff in 1970 and currently residing in Gering, Smith graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993.
