Rep. Mike Flood, who has represented Nebraska’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2022, marked Constitution Day by sharing reflections on the enduring significance of America’s founding document and his recent community engagements through a series of social media posts on September 17, 2025.

In his first post at 15:04 UTC, Flood stated, "Almost 250 years after our founding, America’s Constitution remains the best form of government in the history of the world, but its future hinges on our willingness to protect it.

Later that day at 16:11 UTC, he acknowledged local service organizations with another message: "Had the pleasure of speaking to @Rotary14 last month as they continue serving Lincoln in their 115th year - keep up the great work! https://t.co/dsF0tLJXhS"

Flood also highlighted a milestone visit in his district at 16:21 UTC: "Visited the Bellevue Community Senior Center last month, where a resident was celebrating his 100th birthday - an incredible milestone! https://t.co/UXUjEPOxnV"

Flood succeeded Jeff Fortenberry as representative for Nebraska’s 1st district in 2022. He previously served in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013. Born in Omaha in 1975 and now residing in Norfolk, Flood holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
