U.S. Congressman Mike Flood has announced that the upcoming Flyover Fintech Conference in Lincoln will include a panel titled “Innovation in Nebraska.” The event, scheduled for September 23, 2025, will feature leaders from Maptician, Fiserv, Social Assurance, Exodus, and Pinata.
“Nebraska has earned its reputation as the Silicon Prairie thanks to the innovation, grit, and hard work of our people,” said Congressman Flood. “This panel features incredible leaders in fintech from right here in Nebraska, who are helping to build great job opportunities for the next generation. With less than two weeks to go, I encourage anyone interested in joining the conversation to register for Flyover Fintech today.”
The panelists include AshLea Allberry of Maptician; Steve Mathison of Fiserv; Ben Pankonin of Social Assurance; JP Richardson of Exodus; and Kyle Tut of Pinata. Allberry is noted for her leadership roles at several technology companies and her advocacy for women in business. Mathison brings more than three decades of experience in payments technology and optimization. Pankonin leads a SaaS company serving over 1,500 financial brands nationwide. Richardson’s company Exodus was the first U.S. firm to conduct an SEC-qualified crypto-only public stock offering with tokenized common stock on blockchain technology. Tut’s startup Pinata provides file infrastructure services for crypto and AI firms globally.
Congressman Flood represents Nebraska’s 1st district in Congress after replacing Jeff Fortenberry in 2022 (https://flood.house.gov/about). He previously served in the Nebraska State Legislature between 2007 and 2013 (https://flood.house.gov/about). Born in Omaha in 1975, Flood now lives in Norfolk (https://flood.house.gov/about). He holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (https://flood.house.gov/about).
Flyover Fintech conferences bring together speakers from both government—such as members of the House Financial Services Committee—and private industry leaders. This year’s conference will also feature remarks by Bryan Steil, Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
Other panels planned include discussions on “Bank-Fintech Partnerships,” “AI and Banking,” “Non-Fungible Tokens,” and “Stablecoins.” Additional speakers are expected to be announced soon.
