Flood has served as U.S. Representative for Nebraska’s 1st District since succeeding Jeff Fortenberry in 2022. Prior to his tenure in Congress, Flood was a member of the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013. Born in Omaha in 1975 and currently residing in Norfolk at age 48, Flood holds degrees from both the University of Notre Dame (BA) and University of Nebraska-Lincoln (JD).
