Rep. Adrian Smith, who represents Nebraska’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed topics ranging from agricultural trade to military honors and personal prayers in a series of posts on social media.

On September 8, 2025, Smith wrote about recent efforts by the Trump administration to reduce international barriers for American farmers: "Through a number of negotiated deals the Trump administration has lowered trade barriers for American agricultural products. Yet, there is still more to do. Read my latest column on ensuring our farmers and ranchers have every opportunity to be successful."

The following day, Smith paid tribute to a local military figure from Adams, Nebraska: "The legacies of our selfless military heroes, like Donald McPherson of Adams, NE, must be celebrated and protected for future generations to understand the true cost of freedom. On the House floor I honored the life, service, and passing of America’s last WWII Ace fighter pilot." On September 10, 2025, Smith posted a brief message offering support to a public figure: "Praying for Charlie Kirk and his young family."

Smith has been serving in Congress since 2007 after replacing Tom Osborne. Before his congressional tenure, he was a member of the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 to 2007. Born in Scottsbluff in 1970 and now residing in Gering, Smith graduated with a BA from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1993.
