Rep. Mike Flood, who represents Nebraska’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted community initiatives and an upcoming fintech conference in a series of posts on his social media account.

On September 8, 2025, Flood posted about the approaching deadline for registration at a regional technology event: "Time’s running out – just 8 DAYS left to register for this year's Flyover Fintech conference! Join us to network with and learn from some of the biggest leaders in #fintech. Register TODAY via the QR code or here https://t.co/adbGnQ6WoF "

The following day, September 9, Flood spotlighted local organizations during visits to their facilities in Lincoln. In one post he wrote: "Family Service Lincoln is a great example of the generosity and dedication Nebraskans are known for. I visited one of their sites last month to see progress on their new Activity Center for kids, community garden, and four duplexes under construction. Keep up the great work!" In another message that same day, he stated: "Recently visited one of @ActionNebraska's Lincoln locations to learn directly how they're helping those in need around Lincoln. Thanks for serving the people of Lincoln! #NE01"

Flood has represented Nebraska’s 1st district since replacing Jeff Fortenberry in 2022. He previously served in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013 and holds degrees from both the University of Notre Dame and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Born in Omaha in 1975, Flood currently resides in Norfolk.
