U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) spent the August work period traveling across Nebraska, meeting with residents and discussing local issues. Her stops included cities such as Omaha, Scottsbluff, Valentine, and Kearney.

“It is the privilege of my lifetime to serve as the U.S. Senator for Nebraska. As I traveled across our state listening to Nebraskans and answering their questions, I was amazed, as always, to see how they are working together to strengthen their communities—not only for today, but for generations to come. I look forward to taking what I learned through the conversations I had during this work period back to Washington, where I will continue to do my part to make the Good Life even better,” Fischer said.

During her travels, Fischer participated in a range of activities. In Ashland, she joined members of the Nebraska Delegation at the 2025 Federal Legislative Summit hosted by several chambers of commerce. At Mead’s University of Nebraska-Lincoln Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center, she took part in a roundtable with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and agriculture industry representatives.

Fischer also visited community organizations and businesses in towns including Ainsworth—where she toured a new child development center—and Gordon’s McDonald Apiculture. She met with local leaders at Chadron State College and spoke with Northwest Community Action Partnership staff while visiting an early childhood education facility.

Other stops included Harrisburg’s Double L Country Store and Café, Gering’s law enforcement roundtable, Papa Moon Vineyards & Winery in Scottsbluff, Bridgeport’s Lapaseotes Feed Yard, Sidney’s Pole Creek Estates senior living community, Cozad’s Haymaker Creative District, Lexington’s Rural Radio Network studio interview location, and Kearney medical centers.

In Kearney, Fischer received the American Farm Bureau’s Golden Plow Award at a ceremony hosted by Nebraska Farm Bureau. She also delivered remarks at the 2025 Nebraska Data and AI Summit held in Omaha.

Throughout her trip across the state, Fischer answered questions from Nebraskans during interviews on local radio stations and visits with media outlets.
