Rep. Mike Flood, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 1st district since 2022, shared updates and reflections on recent events in Nebraska through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On August 9, 2025, Flood posted an update about storm recovery efforts in Seward alongside Mayor Josh Eickmeier: "WATCH: Storm recovery update from Seward with Mayor Josh Eickmeier https://t.co/UgpkAtWrVX".

Two days later, on August 11, 2025, Flood highlighted a visit from Secretary Rollins to Nebraska and expressed gratitude for federal support of the state’s agricultural sector: "It was an honor to welcome @SecRollins to the Cornhusker State over the weekend! Nebraska is an ag state and we are thankful for the work @USDA and President @realDonaldTrump are doing to support our state's farm and ranch families. https://t.co/o1hsnQjTyM".

Later that same day, Flood emphasized the benefits of proposed tax relief legislation for local businesses: "Small businesses and restaurants like Lincoln’s Hi-Way Diner will benefit from the tax relief in @HouseGOP’s One Big, Beautiful Bill. This tax relief will help Main Street staples continue to thrive for years to come! https://t.co/dUlLWTb61U".

Flood has served as a member of Congress since replacing Jeff Fortenberry in 2022. He previously held office in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013. Born in Omaha in 1975, Flood resides in Norfolk and holds degrees from both the University of Notre Dame and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
