Rep. Mike Flood, who represents Nebraska’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed constituents and national audiences through a series of social media posts highlighting his legislative priorities and ongoing service.

On August 5, 2025, Flood posted a message to his followers: "To those of you who were watching from home tonight, please know that I’m on your side. I never forget who I’m working for. It’s an honor to serve you in Congress. https://t.co/11tW3YIEXD"

The following day, August 6, he commented on economic policy and shared details about a recent town hall: "Hardworking Nebraskans do not support the handouts liberal activists want.

On August 7, Flood responded positively to an unnamed decision related to agency work: "I applaud the decision and will continue to work to support the agency’s critical work."

Flood has represented Nebraska's 1st congressional district since replacing Jeff Fortenberry in 2022. He previously served in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013. Born in Omaha in 1975 and currently residing in Norfolk, Flood earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1997 before receiving a law degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2001.
