Rep. Mike Flood, who represents Nebraska’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media account to announce and provide updates on a town hall event held in Lincoln.
On August 4, 2025, Flood invited constituents to attend the event with a post stating, "TODAY: Join me for a town hall in Lincoln! Details here https://t.co/I7syGOh2nV". Later that day, he informed followers as the event began: "My Lincoln Town Hall is starting now! Tune in here https://t.co/iWkDeax1lK". Following the conclusion of the meeting, Flood thanked participants by posting on August 5: "Thank you Lincoln for joining tonight’s town hall! #NE01 https://t.co/LXigz2KWV0".
Flood has represented Nebraska's 1st district since 2022 after succeeding Jeff Fortenberry. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013. Born in Omaha in 1975 and currently residing in Norfolk at age 48, Flood holds degrees from both the University of Notre Dame and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
