Rep. Adrian Smith, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 3rd district, recently used his Twitter account to comment on several legislative and policy issues, including agricultural regulations, healthcare in rural communities, and local land control.

On July 23, Smith criticized California's Proposition 12 in a tweet: "CA’s Prop 12 imposes arbitrary and unscientific regulations on pork producers nationwide and increases costs for consumers. Smith has represented Nebraska’s 3rd District since 2007 after serving in the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 to 2007. He was born in Scottsbluff in 1970 and resides in Gering. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
