Rep. Mike Flood, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 1st district, highlighted his legislative priorities and recent media appearances in a series of posts on July 22, 2025.

In an early morning post, Flood stated, "Commonsense, main street values drew me to @MainCaucus. And we've delivered: Conservative wins range from tax relief for hardworking families to securing the border and more. As Chairman, I'm ready to build on our success and keep advancing President @realDonaldTrump's agenda." (July 22, 2025).

Later that day, Flood promoted his upcoming appearance on a national news program with the message: "Starting the day early with @MorningsMaria soon- be sure to tune in " (July 22, 2025).

Following his interview, Flood shared additional details about his policy work and committee leadership. He wrote: "Joined @MorningsMaria to discuss the latest on the budget, my work as @FinancialCmte Housing & Insurance Chairman to tackle the housing crisis with commonsense, pro-market solutions, and more! Catch my full conversation with @MariaBartiromo below " (July 22, 2025).

Flood has represented Nebraska’s 1st district since replacing Jeff Fortenberry in Congress in 2022. He previously served in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013. Born in Omaha in 1975 and currently residing in Norfolk at age 48, Flood is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds a law degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
