Rep. Adrian Smith, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 3rd district, shared updates on recent activities and community engagement through a series of posts in July 2025.
On July 15, Smith posted about his participation as a judge at a longstanding local event: "I was honored to serve as a judge for the annual Chili Cook-off at Oregon Trail Days this weekend. For 104 years this celebration has brought together Nebraska families, heritage, food, music, and more!"
Two days later, on July 17, Smith announced upcoming opportunities for constituents to connect with his staff across several Nebraska towns: "My staff will be in St. Paul, Thedford, Clay Center, Loup City, Broken Bow & Beatrice next week. Please stop by if you need help with a federal agency or have thoughts to share!"
Later that same day, Smith highlighted an award he received from the National Corn Growers Association and acknowledged the agricultural significance of his district: "I was honored to receive the President’s award from @NationalCorn and get in some friendly competition alongside @JobmanAg with @NeCGA. It is a great privilege to represent one of America’s leading districts feeding and fueling the world, and I will continue to champion sound"
Smith has represented Nebraska’s 3rd District in Congress since 2007 after succeeding Tom Osborne. He previously served in the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 until his election to Congress.
He was born in Scottsbluff in 1970 and currently resides in Gering.
Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
