Rep. Mike Flood, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 1st district, shared several updates on July 9, 2025, via social media platform X.
In a post from early that day, Flood commented on actions taken by FHFA Director Pulte. He described it as a "historic move" and praised it as "commonsense, pro-market steps to expand credit options for hardworking families pursuing homeownership." He attributed this development to President Donald Trump’s team and their efforts to help Americans achieve homeownership.
Later in the day, Flood announced an upcoming event involving Rep. Bryan Steil. He noted that Steil will speak at Flyover Fintech in Lincoln on September 23rd. As "a leader on the CLARITY Act and Chair of @FinancialCmte’s Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and AI," Steil is expected to share significant insights during his address.
Flood also expressed appreciation for the work done by ICE in another tweet posted that evening. He commended their efforts with "Great work by ICE - thank you for helping stop dangerous gangs and keeping Nebraska and communities across America safe!"
