Today, Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) commented on the House's passage of the Senate amendment to H.R. 1, which will now be sent to President Trump for signing into law. The bill is referred to as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

"Getting our work done on this legislation is a game changer for American workers, families, and our nation's long-term fiscal outlook," said Smith. He highlighted that the bill aims to prevent severe tax hikes while expanding tax relief for family farms, small businesses, and middle-class Americans. Additionally, it strengthens essential Farm Bill programs and ensures sustainability for public assistance programs aimed at aiding the neediest Americans.

Smith emphasized provisions he championed in the bill that are designed to empower parents with educational choice, support biofuels producers and energy affordability, and boost growth for capital-intensive industries such as manufacturing. He noted that after years of work in the Ways and Means Committee and months of debate in both chambers of Congress, this bill is set to catalyze President Trump's economic plan.
