U.S. Congressman Mike Flood has announced the commencement of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge, an initiative aimed at encouraging middle and high school students to enhance their coding skills. The challenge is designed to inspire young individuals across the nation to consider careers in computer science.
"Nebraska continues to grow its reputation as the 'Silicon Prairie,' thanks in part to our students' innovative and creative approaches to today’s challenges," stated Congressman Flood. He further encouraged participation by saying, "Whether you're just starting your coding journey or preparing to apply to college for computer science, I encourage all students across Nebraska’s First District to register and enter for this year’s challenge."
Students interested in participating must register by October 15th, 2025, with submissions due by October 30th, 2025. Additional information and registration details are available online.
