Rep. Mike Flood congratulates Bellevue institutions and remarks on Farm Bill delay

Rep. Mike Flood, currently serving Nebraska’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2022, took to social media on April 30, 2025, to share updates and congratulate local institutions and initiatives. A political representative with a background serving in the Nebraska State Legislature and education credentials from the University of Notre Dame and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Flood shared information about significant developments in Bellevue.

In a recent post, Rep. Flood hailed Bellevue University's achievement at their recent ceremony. He stated, "Big congratulations to @BellevueU on their recent ribbon-cutting ceremony for their brand new, state-of-the-art field house for the @BUBruins. " This ceremony marked the opening of a new facility intended to support the university's athletic programs.

Additionally, Flood expressed his commendation for the Nebraska National Guard. In his tweet, he mentioned, "Congratulations to @NENationalGuard on cutting the ribbon cutting at their new readiness center in Bellevue. The readiness center will provide the primary location for a number of National Guard units that will conduct their training during drills there." This facility is expected to enhance the training capabilities of the National Guard units.

Furthermore, Rep. Flood addressed concerns regarding legislative delays. He noted, "Democrats delayed on the Farm Bill last year, adding uncertainty for our nation's farmers and ranchers. Mike Flood, who was born in Omaha in 1975 and currently resides in Norfolk, has been active in addressing and promoting community enhancements and legislative issues from his congressional platform.
