Representative Mike Flood, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Nebraska’s 1st district, shared a series of updates on his recent activities through his social media. Flood, who has been in Congress since 2022, replaced Jeff Fortenberry and previously served in the Nebraska State Legislature. Flood was born in Omaha in 1975 and resides in Norfolk, with education credentials from the University of Notre Dame and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

On April 29, Flood highlighted various achievements associated with the first 100 days of President Donald Trump's current term. The following day, April 30, Flood reported on his attendance at an event celebrating the opening of new barracks for the Nebraska National Guard in Mead. He expressed the significance of the new facility, stating, "This facility is an important tool helping our guard members to train longer on important military skills that they need to get the experience and agility to meet every mission."

Later that day, Flood shared his experience meeting Canadian athletes Ayden, Logan, and Kyle, who are currently attending Bellevue University. He mentioned, "It was a special honor to meet Ayden, Logan, and Kyle - they are Canadian athletes who are doing great things at @BellevueU. Go Bruins! "
