U.S. Representative Mike Flood has announced the release of a form that permits individuals and organizations to submit federal appropriations requests for the Fiscal Year 2026. As per the usual annual appropriations process, "Members of the U.S. House are able to submit requests to our committee for inclusion in the annual appropriations bills," stated Rep. Flood. Highlighting the limited number of requests accepted by Appropriations, he mentioned, "Because the number of requests to Appropriations is limited, our office gets an early start on obtaining, developing, and prioritizing these requests for submission."
There are two types of requests that can be made: programmatic and language. Programmatic requests allow for seeking specific funding levels for valuable federal programs. Language requests allow for proposing specific bill or report language aimed at encouraging, urging, or directing actions without allocating funds to specific entities. The form required for submission can be accessed and all requests must be submitted by Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 6 p.m. ET.
Rep. Flood also noted that due to the circumstances of the FY 2025 appropriations process, which excluded Community Project Funding (CPF) requests in the continuing resolution for that fiscal year, "Consequently, my office will not be soliciting new CPF requests from stakeholders for FY 2026."
For any queries regarding these processes and appropriations, Congressman Flood's Washington, D.C. office can be contacted at (202) 225-4806.
