U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following the passage of H.R. 9747 – the Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025.

"The Democrat-led Senate has passed none of the budget bills for this year, while the House has acted on several of them. This continuing resolution ensures the government stays open while Congress continues to work through the appropriations process. President Biden and Senate Democrats need to come to the table and negotiate with Speaker Johnson and Republican leadership in the House, so that we can finalize a plan for Fiscal Year 2025 that controls spending and keeps government working for the people."
