3.2% of Lancaster County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Lancaster County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 5,834 people out of the 320,301 living in Lancaster County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lancaster County has decreased compared to the 3.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Lancaster County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.3%.

Of the 174,536 people who had a job during that time, 586 were employed in the Armed Forces and 173,950 belonged to the civilian labor force.
