Pawnee County Sheriffs Office will no longer be sending physical officers to non emergency calls for service

Effective immediately, the Pawnee County Sheriffs Office will no longer be sending physical officers to non emergency calls for service.

“I have instructed the deputies to attempt to manage whatever calls are acceptable over the phone,” including “non-life-threatening calls,” “non-in-progress calls,” and calls that don’t “require evidence collection or documentation.”

Currently we are slated to exhaust our fuel budget by October.

We need to do everything possible to make that last until next July.
