1600 hours, with heavy hearts, we send our own Chief Deputy Randall Muhm #9571 off to retirement.

Randall graduated from Oelrichs South Dakota High School in 1974. He joined the U.S. Army as an MP in January of 1975 until January 1978. He then moved on to the Chadron Police Department in March of 1981, until January of 1982 when he joined the Dawes County Sheriff's Office through March of 1983. Randall then joined the Deadwood South Dakota Police Department in March of 1983 until October 1983.

It was then that he came to the great state of Nebraska! Randy joined the Seward Police Department in 1984 and departed in 1993 when he joined the Seward County Sheriff's Office. That stint ran from 1993 to 2010 when he came down to Johnson County in 2011.

I had the pleasure of meeting Randy when I was employed at the Seward County Sheriff's Office, and he is one of a kind! He takes pride in his career as a law enforcement officer, and takes even more pride in his family! If you see Randy around town, give him a wave and wish him well!

Congrats on your retirement Randy! You will be greatly missed!
