The Gage County Sheriff's Office responded with the Beatrice Rural Fire Department to a field fire south of Ellis, Nebraska at the corner of Southwest 117th / West Maple on Monday, 04-11-2022.
Deputy Nissen is the deputy assigned to investigate the incident.
No injuries were reported, however the initial response from the rural fire department included about a half dozen fire department vehicles and a dozen firefighters.
The Gage County area has been dry for the past several weeks and high winds increased the danger of the fire spreading.
