Rep. Adrian Smith, who represents Nebraska’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted several local initiatives and issues through a series of posts on his social media account.

On July 21, 2025, Smith discussed his engagement with local history and community service: "I recently spoke with Jim Griffin, Director of the Lincoln County Historical Museum, about what the legacy of the North Platte Canteen means to the community. I am working with @SenatorFischer and the entire NE delegation to honor the patriotic volunteers who served our troops".

Later that day, Smith acknowledged efforts to support workforce development in Nebraska: "Kudos to The Leadership Center in Aurora and Strobel Manufacturing for investing in #NE03 students and our workforce by holding this welding camp in Clarks! I strongly support career and technical education initiatives to equip the skilled workers our state needs."

On July 22, 2025, Smith addressed healthcare access challenges faced by rural communities: "Americans living in rural areas like those in #NE03 face significant barriers to healthcare access. Read my latest column on how the One Big Beautiful Bill makes healthcare more accessible to patients across our state and the country."

Smith has represented Nebraska’s 3rd District since 2007 after succeeding Tom Osborne. He previously served in the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 to 2007. Born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska in 1970, Smith is currently a resident of Gering. He earned his BA from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1993.
