Rep. Adrian Smith, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 3rd district, shared a series of tweets on June 17, 2025, addressing key issues ranging from international security to domestic economic policy and personal well-wishes for a colleague.

In his first tweet at 15:47 UTC, Smith expressed gratitude towards negotiators from the Trump administration for their active role in "neutralizing Iran’s nuclear ambitions". He emphasized the potential catastrophic impact on both Israel and the United States if these ambitions were not addressed. He also linked to his column titled "Security for Americans and Our Allies."

Later that day, at 20:21 UTC, Smith highlighted his satisfaction with the inclusion of his legislative proposal in a broader bill. He tweeted about the American Investment in Manufacturing and Main Street Act being part of #OBBBA, stating that "restoring EBITDA deductibility for capital-intensive industries will help supercharge productivity and create American jobs."

In a subsequent tweet at 23:18 UTC, Smith conveyed relief upon hearing positive news regarding South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem's health. He stated he was glad to hear that @Sec_Noem is reportedly awake after being transported to a DC-area hospital. He wished her a swift recovery and noted their past collaboration on the Ways and Means Committee.

Adrian Smith has been representing Nebraska's 3rd District since replacing Tom Osborne in 2007. Born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska in 1970, he graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a BA in 1993.
