Rep. Mike Flood, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 1st district, has recently shared his views on several key issues via social media. Having replaced Jeff Fortenberry in 2022, Flood has been active in addressing infrastructure and tax policies among other matters.

On June 3, 2025, Rep. Mike Flood expressed concerns regarding the application of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). He stated that "The application of NEPA has long held up critical infrastructure and housing projects across the country." He further mentioned that environmental activists have utilized legal avenues to delay these essential projects.

Later that day, at 20:25 UTC, Flood highlighted a potential economic issue facing America. He posted a graphic emphasizing why he believes America needs "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill." According to him, "If Congress does nothing, there's a massive tax hike." He urged for the renewal of Trump-era tax cuts and called upon the Senate to take action following measures already passed by the House.

In another post on June 3 at 20:57 UTC, Rep. Flood welcomed members of NAIFA from Nebraska to Washington D.C., acknowledging their contributions to financial growth and security for Americans. He stated "Recently welcomed Nebraska @NAIFA members to DC - your work helps Americans as grow their financial and seek financial security!"

Born in Omaha in 1975 and residing in Norfolk, Mike Flood graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in 1997 and earned a JD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2001. His political career includes serving in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013 before joining Congress.
