On February 14, 2025, Rep. Flood criticized liberal initiatives during President Donald Trump's tenure concerning federal expenditures. He remarked that "Liberals tried to push money to radical, woke programs as President @realDonaldTrump took office." According to him, Trump was justified in slowing down federal spending.
