U.S. Congressman Mike Flood has announced that his office is accepting submissions for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, representing Nebraska’s First District. This annual event invites high school students from the district to participate.

The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol alongside other national winners. Submissions that earn runner-up status will be exhibited in either Congressman Flood's Washington, D.C., office or his Lincoln district office.

“Every year, I am impressed by the artistic talent of Nebraskan students,” said Congressman Flood. “It’s always an honor to celebrate and showcase their remarkable work—especially in our nation’s Capitol. I look forward to seeing the incredible pieces our students create.”

An independent panel of art professionals will review and evaluate all entries. The deadline for submissions is March 21, 2025. Further details about the competition are available online.
