U.S. Congressman Mike Flood has opened applications for the spring internship program in his Washington, D.C. office. This opportunity offers interns a chance to gain experience in the nation's capital and observe Congress at work.

“I’m pleased to announce that my team is currently accepting applications for our Washington, D.C. spring internship program,” stated Congressman Flood. “This program provides interns with invaluable experience in our nation's capital alongside with a front-seat view of Congress at work."

Interns will engage with full-time congressional staff and learn about constituent services, communications, operations, legislative affairs, and committee work within a congressional office.

Participants will also attend congressional hearings, policy briefings, guest speaker events, exhibits, and networking opportunities on Capitol Hill.

The application deadline is November 29, 2024. Successful applicants will be informed by December 6. The internship period runs from February 3 to May 16. Skills in graphic design and writing are appreciated; examples can be included with resumes.

Priority consideration is given to students and recent graduates connected to Nebraska’s first congressional district. More information about the internship program is available online.
