U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced today that Congressman Andy Barr will address the upcoming Flyover Fintech Conference in Lincoln, Nebraska, on October 21, 2024.

“It is a great honor to host my colleague, Congressman Barr, in Lincoln for Flyover Fintech,” said Congressman Flood. “From holding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau accountable to bringing greater transparency to banking regulation, Congressman Barr has done outstanding work on the Financial Services Committee. Registration is open for the conference now, and I encourage anyone interested to sign up soon as space is expected to fill quickly.”

Congressman Barr is a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee where he serves as the Chairman of the influential Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy Subcommittee. This Subcommittee oversees key financial regulators including the Federal Reserve, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the National Credit Union Administration, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Financial Stability Oversight Council. The Subcommittee also has jurisdiction over monetary policy functions of the Federal Open Market Committee of the Federal Reserve System and leads congressional oversight of efforts to combat inflation and achieve price stability.

Flyover Fintech conferences feature a variety of speakers from members of Congress to leading voices in fintech. Speakers and panelists for Flyover Fintech 2024 will be announced in coming months.
