Census Bureau: 76.1% of people in Thayer County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 5,053 citizens living in Thayer County in 2021, 76.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 3,843 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 1,930 were male, constituting 50.2%, and 1,913 were female, making up 49.8%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Thayer County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 75.1%.
