WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Mike Flood recently sent a letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding ongoing restrictions on CMS regulated facilities. During a recent visit to Papillion Manor in Sarpy County, Congressman Flood heard firsthand about the impact of ongoing restrictions. In his letter, the Congressman poses a series of questions about ongoing restrictions to CMS.
“…the men and women I spoke to at the Papillion Manor feel left behind by these policies. They feel that although they have lost their independence, they shouldn’t lose their family,” Congressman Flood wrote. “With the Covid-19 public health emergency ending… I would like to hear back regarding the policies mentioned in this letter and hear what CMS is doing to facilitate a return to normalcy at skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.”
