Beatrice City Council has approved a resolution declaring that Field #1 located at Hannibal Park now be known as “Kiwanis Field”. A generous donation of $40,000 from the Beatrice Kiwanis Club has contributed to recent improvements to the championship field.
A ribbon-cutting with the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce, members of Kiwanis, and several community partners celebrated the improvements as the BHS softball team kicked off their season last night.
