Earlier this summer Peru State volleyball head coach Madison Kindle signed Olivia Gordon for the upcoming 2022 season. She is from Oskaloosa, Iowa and went to Oskaloosa High School. Gordon will also be a member of the Bobcat softball team.
Gordon is the daughter of Gary and Stephanie Gordon. She plans to study Elementary Education while attending Peru State College. She had a multitude of accolades throughout her volleyball and softball career.
In 2020 and 2021 she was on the Second Team Little Hawkeye All-Conference . In 2021 her team went 31-5 and competed in the Iowa Class 4A State Volleyball Tournament. Gordon finished her high school volleyball career with 1,211 assists, 205 digs, 90 aces, 60 kills and 25 blocks.
For softball she was named to First Team Little Hawkeye All-Conference in 2021, First Team All-District, Third Team All-State and made the Iowa Class 4A State Softball Tournament. She led the team with a batting average of .414 and 39 RBIs.
The Peru State volleyball team begins action next month as they travel to Sterling, Kansas on Friday, August 19, for a tri match against Central Christian College and Sterling College starting at 4:00 p.m.
