Peru State College and its President, Dr. Michael Evans, granted degrees to 192 undergraduates on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in the Al Wheeler Activity Center on the campus of the College. More than 2,500 people attended the ceremony in the Al Wheeler Activity Center which was followed by a reception on the campus quad.

The lists below notes who graduated in December 2021, as well as those who completed their coursework in May 2022. In addition, the honors received by the graduates is noted. Only majors are identified – no minors and/or endorsements are included.

Peru State granted degrees to students from 22 states, one territory, and five nations.

NOTE: The degree code is: BAS – Bachelor of Applied Science, BA – Bachelor of Arts, and BS – Bachelor of Science. The honors column code is: HPG – Honors Program Graduate, SCL – Summa Cum Laude (3.9 to 4.0 grade point average), MCL – (3.75 to 3.89 GPA), and CL – (3.50 to 3.74 GPA).

Representatives of the Peru State College Foundation – Jeff Greenwald, Chair, and Al Urwin, Secretary – presented each graduate who walked with a welcoming gift to the National Alumni Association.

Peru State College is nestled in the hills of historic southeast Nebraska on the Missouri River. The College offers a mix of innovative online and traditional undergraduate and graduate programs. Nebraska’s first college, established in 1867 as a teacher training school with one building and 60 students, has transformed over the past century and a half into a state-of-the-art institution offering diverse, multifaceted education programs to around 2,000 students.

The College offers 57 options/majors ranging from accounting to wildlife ecology. In addition, there are 27 minors or certificates with options of 2-D Art to Theatre.

Peru State College has long been a wellspring of leadership, an invaluable resource for communities and businesses, and a source of accomplished graduates known for their excellent education and professional competence. While the College serves students around the globe, Peru State retains a special commitment to serve the residents and needs of the southeast Nebraska community through education, research, and public service programs.
