Rep. Mike Flood, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 1st district, has recently highlighted legislative initiatives and policy discussions in a series of social media posts.

On July 15, 2025, Flood posted about his ongoing legislative efforts, sharing details and the full text of a draft bill: “More on my draft legislation below along with the bill’s full text here https://t.co/yZcrxbcfNh https://t.co/CyiNPjew2E”.

Later that day, Flood reported on his engagement with agricultural stakeholders: “Great meeting with @FarmerCoop today to discuss key issues impacting farmer co-ops across the country. From tax policy to the Farm Bill and more, it’s always insightful to hear about their continued work supporting our nation’s producers and rural communities https://t.co/sOIcZqpwPv” (July 15, 2025).

The following day, Flood drew attention to an upcoming congressional hearing focused on housing policy: “TODAY: Excited to remind you that today’s @FinancialCmte Housing & Insurance Subcommittee hearing will focus on the HOME Partnership Program. Flood has represented Nebraska’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Jeff Fortenberry in 2022. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013. Born in Omaha in 1975 and currently residing in Norfolk at age 48, Flood holds degrees from both the University of Notre Dame (BA) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (JD).
