Mike Flood, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 1st district, shared updates on social media regarding his involvement with “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill.” His tweets provide insight into recent discussions and media appearances concerning this legislative initiative.

On July 2, 2025, Rep. Flood tweeted about a meeting he attended with President Donald Trump and members of the House GOP to discuss “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill.” He described the session as lasting about two hours and offered an “update from Capitol Hill”.

Later that day, at 22:00 UTC, Rep. Flood announced his upcoming appearance on PBS NewsHour to discuss the bill further. He encouraged viewers to “tune in on your local station” for more information.

In another tweet posted on July 3, 2025, at 01:02 UTC, Rep. Flood mentioned his scheduled live appearance on CNN’s The Source with Kaitlan Collins to talk about “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill.” Again urging people to “tune in”, he highlighted ongoing efforts to promote and explain the legislation.

Mike Flood has been a member of Congress since replacing Jeff Fortenberry in 2022. Prior to this role, he served in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013. Born in Omaha in 1975 and currently residing in Norfolk, Flood holds degrees from both the University of Notre Dame and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
